PAYMENTS TERMS: Deposits must be made within 7 days to secure the date.  Payment can be made by cash, card or electronic transfer. For international weddings, a higher deposit will be requested at the discretion of the celebrant to secure flights and accommodation. Full payment of any package must be received 14 days prior to the ceremony. Coastal Weddings retains the right to refuse provision of services for failure to pay the full balance of the agreed package.

REFUND POLICY: The deposit paid upon signing the NOIM or securing the ceremony date is not refundable. Where the Master Ceremony fee has been paid and the marriage is not solemnised by the authorised celebrant on the day on which it was to have been solemnised where notice of cancellation of the marriage is given to the celebrant not less than 14 days before that day; or the celebrant fails to attend for the marriage then the celebrant shall refund the Master Ceremony fee. In any other case, requests for refund of fees will be at the discretion of the celebrant.

If the wedding is postponed or brought forward, the booking fee will only be credited if the following conditions are met:

a)        The marriage celebrant does not have commitments on the new date

b)       A new agreement is entered into in the event of solemnisation fees increasing

c)        There is sufficient notice given to book and perform another wedding on the original date

 CEREMONY COMMENCEMENT TIME

The ceremony must start close to stated time.  If delayed more than 30 minutes, the marriage celebrant reserves the right to invoice for the following charges:

a)        Between 30 and 45 minutes after the ceremony start time – an additional $100;

b)       Between 46 and 60 minutes after the ceremony start time – an additional $150;

c)        From 61 minutes after the ceremony start time – an additional $200 and the celebrant reserves the right to proceed to other commitments. 

 INCLUSIONS

Unless stated otherwise, fees quoted include the following:

a)      Booking fee

b)      Lodgement of Notice of Intended Marriage

c)      Preparation and consultation of ceremony

d)      Solemnisation of marriage

e)      Preparation and lodgement of legal documents

f)       Use of PA system for ceremony (when required)

g)      Download of songs for use on my iPhone (if required, for use during ceremony only)

h)      Travel

i)       Registered marriage certificate

j)      Accommodation where required, and pre-booked

Additional fees may be incurred for the following:

a)     Travel by boat, ferry, taxi or any alternate transport required to get to the ceremony location

b)     Any accommodation costs incurred if the ceremony finishes later than the last service of the alternate transport in item a)

c)     Accommodation costs incurred for ceremonies further than 3 hours travel from the home base of the marriage celebrant

d)     Any additional costs incurred for the provision of rituals such as sand pouring, unity candles, butterfly releases, hand tying, hand fasting etc.

e)     Ceremonies held on public holidays or high impact dates such as New Years Eve, Easter and long weekends

COMPLAINTS:

As an authorised marriage celebrant I abide by the Celebrant Code of Practice. You can find the code in Schedule 2 of the Marriage Regulations 2017.

If you booked the celebrant + photography package, the following terms also apply:

WEDDING PHOTOSHOOT: Extra time must be organised and paid prior to the wedding date. Photography packages will not exceed four hours. The photographer has the discretion to charge their full package rate if more than four hours of photography is requested. The photoshoot commencement time is at the discretion of the photographer and includes the ceremony site plus one location (if required). The booking of additional costs incurred for additional photography locations remains the responsibility of the couple. All locations, times, and lists of post-ceremony group photos must be confirmed prior to the wedding date. All wedding vendors must be informed of the relevant times. The photographer is not responsible for the extent of photographic coverage if times are not adhered to by vendors or the wedding party. The photographer will carry out the photoshoot with due and professional diligence, however elements beyond the photographer's control which include faulty materials, equipment failure, damaged and exposed memory cards, industrial disputes, civil disturbances or weather conditions do not render the photographer liable. The liability of the photographer is limited to a refund of money paid under this agreement which shall be full and final satisfaction of any damage or loss suffered.

PHOTOS: The photos supplied will be at the discretion of the photographer and a minimum of 50 edited photos per two hours of photography will be supplied on an online gallery for download within four weeks of the wedding date. No raw (unedited) photos will not be supplied at any time and will be deleted upon delivery of the edited images. Copyright remains with the photographer. All editing, post processing, colour treatment, retouching and cropping is done at the discretion of the photographer. The high resolution photos provided are the 'negatives' and once delivered are the responsibility of the couple to retain appropriately and indefinitely. The storage and presentation of photos in their digital or print form are the responsibility of the couple. Any issues with the photos must be advised to the photographer within 7 days of receipt. The photographer retains the right to use all images for promotional material including advertisements, competitions and publications. Permission must be sought from the photographer to use the images for any commercial use. 

REFUND POLICY: The deposit paid upon securing the ceremony date is not refundable. Where the full payment has been made and the photographer fails to attend for the marriage then the photographer shall refund the full fee. Should the photographer become unavailable for any reason, the photographer will notify the couple of the change as soon as possible and will provide another photographer of similar skills and experience, or offer a refund, at the choice of the couple. In any other case, requests for refund of fees will be at the discretion of the celebrant and/or photographer.

c)        There is sufficient notice given to book and photograph another wedding on the original date
